just chiming in with the most important TiVo hack, the 30-second skip!

while watching Live TV or while playing back a show, enter the following:

select + play + select + 3 + 0 + select

you'll hear the 3 TiVo bings (Bing! Bing! Bing!) for confirmation.

now you can enjoy commercial skipping in :30 increments!

In more recent code there is also TiVo+Slow which takes you into Messages & Settings.
