Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? The Cell Phone Bracelet

Feast your eyes on this - the jewel encrusted e-mobile cell phone/bracelet combo. This concept was developed by the Chinese designer Tao Ma for the 2006 Lite-On Corporation awards. It has volume adjust buttons, an earphone jack, manual pick up and hang up buttons and it can play MP3 music (no joke). This bracelet works by vibrating when you get a call or message and it opens up like a regular phone to talk. Don't get overly excited, the e-mobile doesn't support bluetooth and is minus a screen, so you can kiss your caller ID goodbye. My phone is practically a bracelet since it's constantly attached to my hand, but I don't know how I'd feel if it actually was! And doesn't this phone sorta remind you of handcuffs? Let me know your thoughts!

I love it. It shouldn't be that hard to add some sort of screen with all of the technology we have nowadays.

I love it, love it, love it. Want it. I always lose my phone and never carry a purse. This'll work.

I want one of these. Not that it is practical or anything...but I want one. In conjunction with my Razr of course. This would be a great phone to take to the club. Can I forward my number to it? Smiling

Why don't you wear the face you have when I am not around?

Maybe if I wear it, I won't lose my phone as often as I do now...

Thats totally dumb! Doesnt look too user friendly, meaning how can you hold it on you shoulder, yet still be on the phone? Looks like during a long conversation your hand would hurt holding something oddly shaped like that to your face. Its kind of cute as a bracelet, but as a phone, I dont like the concept.

Jewellery combined with technology, this is an interesting concept..I'm not sure whether I would want this or not. Clever as it is always on hand, around the wrist.

i like it, but i am not sure whether I would get one...I like having a screen.. I am a bit of a PC techie and I like having screens so I can see...

But it is really cool! can I have one?

@HistoryNurd - I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one to lose their cell phone. I basically use it while I'm out (for emergencies) or if I get lost (for directions)
