Pam From The Office Takes Off Her Clothes For Wired

The April cover of Wired Magazine will feature a package of stories about radical transparency, their notion that the next model of business success is laying your company bare to the world—sharing secrets with your rivals, blogging about ideas as you have them, and copping to fumbles and foibles as you make them. Even more transparent, I fear, is the magazine's cover, which features the fabulously funny and smart Jenna Fischer, who plays Pam on The Office. No there won't be any foil wrapping, but Fischer will appear clothed in the top cover and "naked" on a second cover underneath.

"If you're talking about transparency, the obvious metaphor is clear: you're naked," says Wired's Creative Director. "So of course, Wired being Wired we wanted a cover that was smart and showy. And as Creative Director I wanted something that hadn't been done before. We settled on the idea of printing on clear acetate. But it had to be interactive. Now you’re in a business suit—now you’re not." read more

While Fischer isn't actually naked, the raciness is a first for the magazine and has already started a wave of discussion across the web. The message to "Get Naked And... Rule The World" that I don't take lightly, and I am certainly not alone. "It's familiar boy's club crap," says Back In Skinny Jeans. "Yeah, just sex up the receptionist. Why didn't you throw in the pot of coffee while you were at it? Naked women on business magazines is just wrooooong, and that's why it's never been done before by anyone with class."

BuzzSugar uncovered this isn't the first time Fisher has posed naked. What do you think of the move?

Hmm... I hadn't thought of the issue of "sexing up" a business/tech magazine. Maybe if there was some naked Jim on the cover with Naked Pam it would be a more fair cover?

Look at those photos closely. I think one of them has to be doctored. Her face and pose are EXACTLY the same in both photos.

What's especially unusual (to me) about Jenna Fischer in racy photos is that when she's on the red carpet, she wears very modest clothing. Almost matronly.

The more I look at it, the more the message of "radical transparency" gets diluted. Or does it. Are companies truly more transparent or are they too doctoring their message to make it seem that way?

wrtgrl, my impression is that the cover is clear, so you are seeing through to the picture underneath. The very front just has the headlines, the business suit and the sign on it.

I love Jenna, and she is definitely gorgeous, but Wired's signature shiny plastic look is not doing her any favours.

I'm really surprised at this. I'm working on a movie with Jenna Fischer now, and I know people who did Blades of Glory, and she's supposedly very strict on how much of her body is shown. She is, however, VERY HOT, which is something that you can't really see when she's playing Pam, but in person it's really shocking.

If you look closely at the photo with her clothes on (namely her left shoulder and both of her hands) you will see that the clothes have been digitally applied, quite poorly I might add. However this was probably done on purpose so that people wouldn't think the the other shot was the one doctored.

She's shown before that she's okay about showing some skin. I don't really care.....if you're that comfortable with your body show it loud and proud!

I don't think it's really that bad since you can't even see anything 'rude'. So long as she was happy with it.

I don't find a problem with her being "nude" on the cover. I can only assume from the way she looks the under that large card she's wearing a strapless bra and undies. What I do find to be shocking is this is from wired magazine. Where in the world are they getting their people who work with photoshop? This is just sad! I do better, and I haven't taken a class on it in over five years!!

Note to Zamemee...Jenna was photographed for the cover twice; one version in the suit, the other she was "naked."
    It's an amazing cover...

Hmmmmm, Even if they did take her photo twice, they did a really really bad job editing.

Love her! She is definatly the sexiest person on that show. Being on the cover of wired even helps raise her sexy level.
