Do You Have More Than One Video Game Console?

When I spotted Heidi and Spencer coming out of their Facebreaker release party with two Xbox 360s — ostensibly, one for each of them — I scoffed, "Do Heidi and Spencer really need two Xboxes?! Really?!" (You remember Facebreaker, the game where they knock each other out. Real healthy for the relationship).

Of course, I feel semi-hypocritical, since I actually have three consoles at home — albeit not the same ones (a Wii, PS3 and Xbox). And yes, I really do think I need all of them. The games aren't the same, and though they're all next-gen consoles, the game play is completely different (not to mention the Blu-ray player and other media capabilities of my PS3).

And, as undeniably geeky as I am, I don't think it's that geeky to have more than one gaming console, but rather common, actually. So tell me: Do you have more than one video game console in your place?

    I have a PS3, Wii, GameCube, N64, PSP, and a DS.

My Nintendo (orginal) is in a closet somewhere along with a GameBoy. I used to have a Sega Genesis too until recently when I was told I had too many systems and needed to get rid of it. Sad

Wii, XBox, and Playstation here. I'd have an NES too but my sister stole it from me and never gave it back.

    I've got
    Wii
    PS3
    Xbox 360
    PS2
    PSP
    2 Ds Lites

And those are just the ones we use. We've got a ton of "old school" systems too. I'd say we probably use the 360 and the DS the most. PS3 sucks except for playing Blue Ray movies. Smiling

We have 2 Xbox 360's for SystemLink cooperative gaming. We don't like to play the games where we kill each other. We actually just wrapped up Rainbow Six Vegas 2 in Cooperative Story mode. I'm on the upstairs TV and he's downstairs with the better sound system. We wear our little headsets and do all sorts of sneaky flanking moves. I am quite the sniper. Man the more I type the dorkier I sound Eye-wink Bottom line it is fun and I way prefer this over the split screen on a single tv.

We also have a Wii, 2 Nintendo DS (one's mine and the other belongs to my 9 year old- who doesn't play or see games that are not rated for his age btw), GameCube, and a Super Nintendo. The GameCube and SNES can go away as the Wii will do both of what they did as my SNES games I care about are available for it.

Oh, and the husband just informed me that he is hot to get the PS3 which would possibly mean we would need two for cooperative gaming. We will see though...

    XBox 360
    FC Twin (plays SNES/NES games)
    Intellivision
    DS Lite

If I had the space and the money, we'd also have a Wii and an Odyssey.

We've got far too many systems in our house, and they are all used at least a few times each year.
XBox 360, XBox, Nintendo DS (x2), Atari (x2), NES, Game Cube (x2), PS, PS2, PSP, Game Boy and Game Boy Advance, Sega Genesis, and we had a Wii for a while.

What good geek would be caught without 2 or more ways to game in their household? A bad one!

Okay...yes I am an owner of not 1 but 2 Xbox360's! Why? Because my husband and I are both active gamers and each wanted our own. Now we could have just shared a box...and it even started out that way. We just played on his. But there started to be many nights that I wanted to play a different game than he wanted to play and it's kinda hard to say "ummm honey, could you please get off YOUR xbox so I can play?" So I got my box that Christmas from my in-laws. I wouldn't ever go back. We can play online together without the split screen and when we have friends over we can put the boxes together and team up. So instead of 4 players we can have up to 8! I think it would be different if I hadn't picked up gaming so hardcore. If I was just a gamer who played every now and then I wouldn't mind sharing a box...but when you get addicted to something you get addicted and you want one of your own. We even go as far as to have two copies of each game. For instance we both went and paid for 2 copies of Gears of War 2 which comes out in November of this year. One copy for each of us. It may be sad...but I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Nintendo GameCube
    Playstation 2
    Nintendo Wii
2 Sega Dreamcasts (one's a backup, since they're not exactly selling them in game stores everywhere anymore, and we got a great deal on the second one)

That's not counting the handhelds, nor any of the (many) old 8-bit computers we've got as well. (Two of the Ataris are mine.)

We have no duplicates. It adds to the variety of gaming. Now having more than one of the same thing is a bit greedy and if I remember past episodes of the Hills- Spencer already has an xbox.
