These fun neon bright retro cassette wallets made their debut at the Tokyo Designboom 2006 Mart where young design professionals showcased their latest products and showed off their geeky talents. Created by Italian designer Marcella Foschi, these wallets are actually hand made from real (Italian) cassette tapes. Geek chic and Italian - be still my heart.

You can get your own for $36 at Design Boom.

I have to go home and pull up my old NKOTB tapes and the hot glue gun.. No wait... I have to listen to "Hangin Tough" one last time.

      Ack! Totally cute!
But i don't know anyone who would ruin their old tapes to make a wallet. Maybe go to a thrift store and buy some on the cheap.

pssshhh. Don't get me wrong, they're adorable! But they cost less than $3 to make from scratch, and about 99cents if you can find one of those tiny, cheapo wallets at a dollar store, break open an old cassette tape and hotglue it on. VOILA! Instant designer.
