Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Flaming Heart Lap Desk

We've established that overheating laptops can cause infertility in men and the fact that Wi-Fi may be harmful to children, but not all of us are ready to paint our houses with wifi protection paint. The best option, for your health, parental instincts and computer, is to only work at a table or similar lap desk or stand. While the usual laptop trays are simple nondescript gray, black or white set ups, this Flaming Heart laptop desk is a whole other variety. The stand costs about $80 and comes in a lineup of bright, fuzz and faux-feather decorated shapes. Source

I think it's rather cute! And the fact that you can customize the colors and flames is awesome!

While the idea itself is good, that has to be the ugliest thing I've seen in the world ever. I'll wait for something featherless and uncorny.

I'm with Calimie. Good idea, bad execution. And overpriced. Just use a book on your lap instead.

It's ugly. And doesn't that fabric get hot, too? We've been using our cooling rack for baked goods to keep the laptop from heating up in the first place. You can't put it on your lap, but it works fine on a table or desk. And when I have a laptop on my lap, I slouch too much anyway.
