The Star Wars vs. Star Trek debate is one that cannot be easily resolved, but the question remains: which is more chic? After finding the fun Super Mario Halloween costume I did a little research and found these Star Trek and Star Wars costumes. Granted they are all pretty geeky, but which one do you prefer?

I loved the Star Wars movies when I was a kid, but I've never had the desire to dress up as one of the characters.

And I don't care for Star Trek one bit!

I've always loved Star Wars outfits. But my 2 favourites are Leia's Jabba Dancer costume in Episode 6 and Padme rainbow dress on Naboo in Episode 2.

I would dress up as either! But I like the Star Wars more than the Star Trek.

Also, I've been wanting to dress up as Yoda, anyway, so STAR WARS!

The Star Wars costumes are definitely the winners, the Star Trek costumes are just so boring, it's the same thing over and over again with different colors. Plus, there was really only one Star Trek timeline I really liked, that was The Next Generation (especially Star Trek: First Contact *says "Assimilate this!" in her best Worf voice*). Never really got into TOS, and Voyager and DS9 just didn't appeal to me, and Enterprise was horrible. But I absolutely love everything Star Wars, from KOTOR all the way to the fan novels.

I Love Star Wars! I dunno, I think I am just too young for Star Trek, I remember my dad loving it and watching it with him when I was like 6!

Ah, the age old question. I think Star Trek could be funny if you used a friend and went as Captain Kirk and that green lady he boffed, maybe carried a Tribble. Otherwise, it's hard to beat a Sith.

I think I would prefer Star Wars, but not just a robe... that's too generic.

Star Wars is just a fantasy, like a fairy tale placed in unknown universe, therefore the costumes like that will never become wearable. On the other hand, Star trek has given so much inspiration to science, architecture, art and even fashion, I have seen some designer clothes that has been inspired by Star Trek Laughing out loud

next time you walk in a public place with self opening doors remember that the idea for that was taken from the Star Trek in the 60ies... and that is just one of many things Smiling
