I love it. It reminds me of two mugs, one from Denny's that would go from a night scene with an owl to a morning scene with coffee in it. Also Kodakgallery.com has one that is blank, but when you fill it up, your picture is on it!

This reminds me of a mug I used to have where the moon would get darker and darker depending on the heat of the liquid.
