Website of the Day: Export to World

We're used to seeing the Hollywood-created worlds of The Hills and Gossip Girl translated into virtual communities in Second Life, but who says we can't see objects from Second Life make their way into our dimension? Export to World is a project that aims to copy objects from Second Life's walled economy of simulated things. According to the website:

We export those into the real world by transforming them into life-size papercraft models. . . . Export to World seeks to comment ironically on the design and production of merchandise in virtual worlds.

It's an interesting idea that can be best understood by looking at the catalog of images or guide to doing it yourself. It's basically the full circle of our world after it's been sent to Second Life. To learn how to post your favorite websites to our Website of the Day group, read more.

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.
