As anticipated,
Gossip Girl kicked off the new year with an episode full of juicy drama. To Rufus's relief, Jenny resumed school with the rest of the Upper East Siders and
dealt with high-school hijinks from the mean girls. On a more serious note, Blair dutifully stayed by Chuck's side as he reached his wits end, while Dan stumbled on a huge secret that could potentially change his rekindled relationship with Serena.

Our favorite
Gossip Girls looked a little frigid in the cold filming in Central Park this morning. Last night the
drama was back with a vengeance as secrets unfolded amongst the beautiful and glamorous NYers we've missed the past few weeks. It was even hard — but certainly not impossible — to pay attention to details like
beauty or
gadgets when there was so much going on with the characters.

It's a new year for the youngsters of
Gossip Girl but that doesn't mean much has changed since
we saw them last. Chuck's still mean and boozy, everyone still has secrets, and Little Jenny is still caught up with those mean rich girls at school.
Also, Lily and Rufus are still grappling with the fact that they have the hots for each other but can't be together because Lily kept that huge secret from him for 20 years.

Earlier in the week we awarded Kate Moss the
Best British style icon with Alexa Chung taking up
best newcomer but today it's a joint award for Best International Style Icon.
You voted but were torn between Gossip Girl Blake Lively and actress Kate Bosworth. Blake Lively's style in the TV show is based on Kate Moss creating a very British look.

Talk about a landslide — an overwhelming 68% of you voted Gossip Girl the most beautiful television
stars of 2008 and I couldn't agree more! From Serena's long blond hair and metallic eye shadows, to Blair's collection of alice bands and pink lip glosses, Jenny's trendy
fringe and Vanessa's alternative style, these ladies know how to play up their hair and makeup to perfection. So what if London doesn't have an Upper East side, their chic and impeccable beauty totally translates across the Atlantic.

I used to play in my mom's jewelry all the time — I still do. If this is you too,
you probably voted for a statement necklace as your favorite trend of '08. The reader favorite was over-the-top shoes, and you know me, so this was a tough call.
Gossip Girl may be on hiatus until 2009, but the stars of the show are still hard at work on new episodes. Penn Badgley, Blake Lively, and Leighton Meester were spotted on set yesterday, keeping warm in the chilly city thanks to their
stylish coats and coffee. We're eager to see what's in store for some of
your favorite relationships on TV after the very dramatic funeral episode, but there's already one shakeup we've heard about.

While most often spotted with their celebrity parents, I can recognize and name these eight pups without their owners present! Even though it was super hard to narrow this down to just eight top dogs, I think I've done it. Pick from my choices listed as pictured below from left to right.

When it comes to fashion,
Dolce & Gabbana is a celeb favorite. And when it comes to makeup, the Italian fashion house will soon deliver. After several years in the making, Dolce & Gabbana will launch a new makeup line at the end of next month,
WWD reports.

Yesterday you were voting on your
favourite stylish Brit but today we're looking overseas for the best style maven. Mary-Kate Olsen is quite British with her eclectic style and Roisin Murphy is prepared to try anything. Kirsten Dunst knows what suits her so does Blake Lively who is new to our fashion radar.
