Now that Seinfeld is out and the new "I'm a PC" commercials are in, most of you feel the same way that I do about them — they are totally copying Apple's "Get a Mac" ads! The first installment with Seinfeld was at least somewhat original, but waay too long to be used as commercials. These ones? Catchy, but lack originality. Microsoft, you had my attention with Seinfeld, and lost me at "I'm a PC."

Get a load of these vintage magazine covers of a young Bill Gates (LOLZ-worthy title: "Computer Software: The Magic Inside the Machine") and an equally young Steve Jobs (LOLZ-worthy title: "The Fall of Steve Jobs")!Although the stylistic choices vary for both (Steve has a passion for fashion, whereas inside Bill beats the heart of a bang stylist), I have a soft spot for both, especially in their more youthful and arguably handsomer days. If you're ever on a whirlwind cross-globe trek and you want to experience some familiarities of home, there are a few techie pit-stops that are guaranteed to feel like you're in a home away from home. First off, you can check out the Google couture shop in Turkey where I'm sure you can pick up some serious geek chic swag. From there you can work your way over to Sarajevo where you'll find Club Bill Gates, a local watering hole with the finest of ales. And last but not least, the MySpace Coffee Shop in Macedonia, "a place for friends" and a good cuppa joe. I just can't imagine why these spots didn't make the 15 Geekiest Vacations List.

I don't know if it's my fascination with famous techie tycoons or if I have an inner fetish for things that make me go vroom, but when Automotoportal compiled a list of famous geeks and their rides, I needed to know more. When money isn't an issue for these well-known gazillionaires, it's interesting to see what make and model of cars they take to the streets.
Bill Gates of Microsoft cruises around in a 1988 Porsche 959 Coupe, while Apple mogul Steve Jobs drives a Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG. Larry Ellison of Oracle uses his Bentley Continental Flying Spur for joyrides and Michael Dell of Dell computers speeds around in a 2008 Porsche Boxster. Sweet rides all around, but I kinda figured Jobs to be a vintage car guy too. Now if only they'd take some advice from New York Times technology columnist and CBS news correspondent David Pogue and drive a Toyota Prius - being earthy is just as hot. Just ask Leo.

Old School Windows 95 Video: Starring Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry

Apparently before Jennifer Aniston was known for carrying her beloved BlackBerry around with her everywhere she goes, she had a brief stint as a promo girl for Microsoft. Molly found this hilarious promotional instructional Windows 95 video starring Aniston and Matthew Perry, which must have been made soon after Friends first aired. It features Aniston and Perry taking a tour of Bill Gates' office, or what Perry calls "Ground Zero of personal computing - the nerve center of the world's biggest software company." Predictably, Aniston plays the "goof" who learns how to launch programs and upgrade to Windows 95, which she says is "easier than changing your dry cleaner." Also prominent, the signature Rachael do. It's too wonderful people, too wonderful.

Watch 'Pirates of Silicon Valley' Online For Free

Arrrrrrhh ya feeling geeky? If you're a Cult of Mac-er you'll be pleased to learn you can now watch “Pirates of Silicon Valley,” the 1999 made for TV 1999 movie about the beginning of the beef between Apple founder Steve Jobs and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, for free on Google video.

I can't guarantee a single pirate joke during the movie (perhaps that's why I had to insert the one above), but I can guarantee you'll wish you had a bottle of Rum when it's through to celebrate all things geeky and campy.

ER cast member Noah Wylie does his best Steve impression - which, honestly, leaves a whole lot to be desired - and Breakfast Club-er Anthony Michael Hall does his best as Gates, which means donning geeky glasses and a fluffy wig.

"The entire thing manages to be both so over-the-top and so nerdy that you can scarcely believe anyone thought it would be a good idea to greenlight it," says Cult of Mac's Pete Mortensen. Awww touche Pete, touche.

Bill Gates To Get Harvard Degree - Finally!

Bill Gates will finally get his Harvard degree only 32 years after he walked away from campus on the path to becoming the world's wealthiest person. According to the AP, Gates, the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft, philanthropist and Harvard dropout, will receive an honorary degree in June when he delivers the university's 356th commencement address. Here's more:

"I am very pleased that the Harvard community will have the opportunity to hear from Bill Gates on June 7," Harvard Alumni Association President Paul Finnegan said in a statement. "His contributions to the world of business and technology, and the great example he has set through his far-reaching philanthropy, will rightfully put him on center stage in Harvard Yard."

Gates is certainly near the top of the list of Geeks We Love so we're pretty pumped he's taking the route of finishing his degree off once and for all...hopefully it won't put any damper on the best underdog store ever. That is if any Harvard drop-out can be considered an underdog.

Now this is what I call a rarity. Not only were Apple's Steve Jobs and Microsoft's Bill Gates in the same room together, but they actually spent the evening wining and dining together! Maybe they weren't comparing annual incomes at the D: All Things Digital conference, but I guarantee you there was some iPhone shop-talk squeezed in at some point. Jobs is scheduled to discuss the latest Apple developments at the conference in May including the iPhone and Apple TV.

I have to say, I've seen Bill Gates speak a couple times regarding the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and he has always been passionate, charming and awesomely geeky. Last night, Gates went on John Stewart's Daly Show to talk about today's release of Microsoft Vista and honestly, he just wasn't as funny as I wanted him to be. Perhaps my standards are too high.

Bill Gates Kicks Off Consumer Electronics Show

Last night Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates delivered his annual speech to open 2007's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas - showing off his usual hair-do and some exciting insight as to what lies ahead this year in electronics.

His speech touched on ways to link computers and the other hardware people use to play music and movies - and not just handheld devices. He showed off a new technology called Sync, to be built into a dozen Ford vehicles this year, that would connect music, address books and cellphone ring tones with the car stereo.
