I'll always be a Nokia fan; it wasn't long ago that they had the hottest handsets in the world, and they continue to make high tech, dark horse designs in cell phones; sadly, affordability is often a hurdle.

But I have nothing bad to say about their "Fourth Screen" commercial below — all good things, actually. I could go into how epic and moving it is (I know, I just said a commercial was moving), but all you need to know is that it's almost two and a half minutes long — astoundingly long for an ad by today's standards — and not only did I hungrily devour every moment, I did not want it to end.

Alicia Keys Shows Off a Nokia E71 in Superwoman Vid

When Cellphone 9 pointed out that Alicia Keys was rocking a Nokia N71 in her Superwoman video, I couldn't help but take a closer look. With a few good close-ups (thankfully front and back shots), I thought wait a minute, that isn't a N71 — a flip phone which came out a couple of years ago — it's actually a Nokia E71 smartphone! The E71 still has yet to make its debut in the US market, but it's already receiving a lot of attention. Very BlackBerry Boldish-looking, the E71 is extremely thin and comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, GPS, and a nice, bright clear screen. Glad to see Alicia is up with the cell phone times!

Imagine if Nokia strapped a new Nokia N82 multimedia phone on you and said travel the world and take lots of pics?! Jackpot! Well for four lucky bloggers this is exactly what happened to them. Nokia has created a site called Urbanista Diaries to document each of the bloggers experiences in real time through the lens of a N82. With integrated GPS, maps, search, and a 5-megapixel camera, this is certainly a great phone for traveling and capturing memories. Stellar marketing tactics if you ask me, but I must admit the site is pretty cool too! Thanks for sharing Calamari!

When I came across these BlackBerry and Nokia cell phone cases at CES, it didn't take much for me to focus my attention on the Nokia display case. What's not to like about cases that exude uniqueness, flair and metallic hues? I can totally appreciate plain accessories every now and then, but the BlackBerry cases just seem too masculine and boring for my liking. The Nokia cases look like they come in a variety of sizes, but I'm sure I wouldn't have a problem slipping my iPhone or BlackBerry Pearl into one of them! Which set of cases are you digging more?

CES 2008: Nokia Goes Green With Car Tech

Nokia certainly went green at CES this year by introducing the attractive 3110 Evolve, a handset made from 50 percent renewable biomaterials. About the size of a candy bar, the Evolve uses 95 percent less power than required by Energy Star standards. Nokia also came out in full force with a green and white hybrid car filled with green gadgets. The rear passenger seats came equipped with N810 Internet Tablets, while the front was decked out in a green GPS navigational system and fun bluetooth technology. Stay tuned for more product info.

These edible geek treat cell phones come straight from China, where they are sold during a mid-autumn festival for geeks. Re-created after the popular Nokia brand phone, these mooncakes come in four different styles and are wrapped in a bright box with handle. 46 Million Nokia Batteries Are Too Hot To Handle

Watch out all you Nokia cell phone users! According to the New York Times, Nokia has just warned customers that a whopping 46 million of its BL-5C cell phone batteries could potentially overheat. Due to a possible short-circuit while charging, the battery can easily shift and cause many problems. Currently 100 incidences have been reported, although there hasn't been any mention of any serious injuries. Nokia is still in talks with the battery maker Matsushita to negotiate whether batteries should be replaced. This doesn't sound overly serious. Just another battery over-heating, what else is new? Website Of The Day: Jealous Computers

Last week I had to give props to Waitless, Sprint's diverting viral marketing site that promises to help you "fast forward through life" with a selection of time saving tips submitted by readers. This week I take my headband off for Nokia, via the Jealous Computers website.

The site features an array of "shocking footage," video testimony and images of people who have suffered the wrath of jealous computers, such as the girl (in picture at right), whose "picture was taken five days after a PC keyboard slapped the victim in the face."

Why all the jealousy? According to the faux Healthy Computing Volunteer Group it's the Nokia Nseries range of multimedia computers. "The use of advanced Nokia technology in combination with slogans like 'It's what computers have become' is obviously upsetting a wide range of 'old school' computers," says the site.

Oh that cheeky Healthy Computing Volunteer Group. Check out the "shocking footage" for a laugh or two.

Nokia Releases Media Transfer Software For Macs

Nokia customers can now transfer pictures, videos, music, and more between their cell phones (if compatible) and their Macs. This new media transfer software enables Apple users to send pics via iPhoto and send music via iTunes. According to Boy Genius Report, because of the beta status of this software, "there are a couple of functions that have yet to be implemented, like including support for calendar and contact syncing." Nonetheless, this is a huge advancement in terms of closing the gap between cell phones and computers. Now all I ask is for them to create something similar for BlackBerrys and Macs!

Previewed on cellphone9, the new stylish Nokia 2760 cell phone has been loaded with tons of great features and is said to only cost around $120. Because of its bluetooth technology and built-in digital camera, you can easily capture and share photos.

Other convenient features include video recording, video playback, MP3 playback, FM radio, GPRS and 10MB of internal memory.. which means you can save all your SMS messages and up to 1000 contacts in your address book... very nice.

The newly released and remarkably thin Nokia N76 is the first phone in Nokia's all new series 60 3rd edition line-up. Each phone comes with Nokia's new operating system, video-recording, bluetooth, USB, a camera on the outer shell, and 512MB worth of memory...suffice to say, it's jammed full of goodies.

This shimmery-mirror like phone has just been released in Europe, and there's been no word as to whether or not it will be picked up by a U.S carrier. Although if you click here you can purchase the phone for a hefty $570... the site will also tell you if the phone will work with your carrier...which is good because there's nothing worse than spending all that money on a phone you can't even use!

When it comes to luxury and designer cell phones I'll freely admit I'm a bit of a tease. It's always look, but don't touch. Well, sadly my friends, such is the case with the ISSE Monaco Phones from Nokia 8800, which is set to be released in gold, platinum and diamonds in Russia...They may still be out of reach for most (considering their market and unknown cost), but they're just so pretty I had to share.

The upcoming Nokia 8800 phones have been taken to new extremes thanks to an excess of gems and rare earth elements. The handsets are decorated with top quality diamonds, ruby, topaz and garnet (1.5 carats to be exact) and the sapphire display is said to be scratch proof - even with your car keys. Right now, they are available only in Russia, but ISSE insist their sights are firmly set on Europe. Can you say US please? I know Fergie will buy one!

When I was in college we used to joke about my roommate's giant "in case of emergency" Nokia phone, which was literally larger than our cordless phone. Whenever she would whip it out - often as part of her stand up routine about her mother and grandma - we would joke about it being the world's largest cell phone. I am actually shocked to say, it isn't so!

The world's largest functioning mobile phone is the Maxi Handy from Maxi Mobile, according to the Guinness World Records. It measures 6.72 by 2.72 by 1.47 feet and was installed at the Rotmain Centre in Bayreuth, Germany in 2004 as part of the 'einfach mobil' infotour.

Nokia will be introducing two more exquisite phones to its L'Amour Collection during Paris fashion week this Spring. The Nokia special edition pink and black 7373 will be paired with unique accessories by designer Giambattista Valli.
The pink design will include a pearl necklace and a feminine pouch while the black chrome cell will have a black diamond skull and a crystal strap. The designs are intended to be Valli's interpretation of the contradictory elements of an intensive romance. What do you think? Does this phone scream intensive romance?

Keep in mind that this latest creation is only available for series 60 Symbian phones with 3.0, 2.8, and 2.6 versions.

Some of its great features include monitoring, tracking and analyzing weight, exercise, eating management, fat percentages and sleep patterns.
