It's still very cold outside, and scarves and gloves are de rigeur for my wardrobe. Would I use this knitted Princess Peach Scarf to stave off the cold? I'm not sure it would go with my every outfit, but I can't hate any piece of apparel that features my OG video game goddess.The $155 price tag, on the other hand, turns me away — although it is a handmade Etsy item, so you're paying for quality and love. What do you think? Would you rock this video game vixen's face on a scarf?

Come on, I know you've got an old pink prom dress gathering dust in your closet somewhere!

Breathe new life into it (or hit up a thrift store in the next few days) and throw yourself a Princess Peach costume together.

No old pink gown? Go flirty with a hot pink minidress instead!

Then add some bright blue jewelry, gloves, and a tiara, and a constantly bewildered look on your face.

If the princess is too sweet, try the mysterious Carmen Sandiego, but I have a feeling you'd get just as much attention as Mario's number-one babe.

Since we seem to be taking it back to the old school this week, I might as well toss in another favorite of mine besides all the mixed tapes and pagers and boomboxes — arcade games. You remember those, yeah? If I wasn't spending hours in my towns' arcade (and dropping what seemed like hundreds in quarters) every week, then I was either deathly ill or my parents had dragged me along on a family vacation. New Mario and Zelda Games Hitting the Wii

If you've been wondering what's next for the Wii after conquering Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, then wonder no more. The E3 Summit kicked off this week, and the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, revealed yesterday at a press event that new titles for both Mario and Zelda are in the works.

Iwata admitted there is a dire need for quality games like Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, which I have to totally agree with, since the sub-par mass of third party games and movie tie-ins are getting a bit old. Although he didn't reveal any other info, I'm totally stoked already! Bring on more Mario!

Yum Yum: "1Up Mushroom" Mushroom Burger!

The Internet has been so over-saturated with the geeky cake phenomena that I have been totally brainwashed into thinking that everything edibly geek must be sweet. Not so, says the "1Up Mushroom" Mushroom Burger!

The only edible 1Up mushroom treat that I had spotted before was these candy sours, but now my mouth is watering for red meat, mozzarella, and portobello mushrooms. And some green food coloring for the caps, too, obviously.

I prefer not to wear my geekiness around my neck, but I quite like this reversible Super Mario Brothers necklace ($12) because it celebrates one of my all-time favorite video game characters. Mario Kart Wedding Cake Pwns

I literally did a huge geek gasp when I saw this exquisite Mario Kart Cake on Flickr the other day. Stop me if you've heard this before but, this one has to beat all the other yummy geek cakes I've ever seen!

This chocolate decadent cake, filled with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, ganache, and buttercream, was made to celebrate the bride and groom — and their love of Mario Kart! Flickr user M.A.L. tells us how they came up with the idea:

We were looking for ideas to make our wedding different and our own, a unique wedding cake was one of the things we came up with. My wife suggested the idea of having a video game cake after we saw one online. We wanted a game that we both enjoyed and decided on the game series we have spent the most time playing together. Coincidentally, the latest Mario Kart game was released on the same weekend of our wedding.

Super Mario Galaxy Keychain and Charm Bracelet

So maybe after seeing Tiffany & Co.'s Gold and Diamond Camera Charm Bracelet, this Super Mario Galaxy keychain isn't looking all that glamorous — but hey, it's still geek chic and is a MUCH cheaper option than the Tiffany bracelet.

For only $12 you can choose from the Super Mario Galaxy keychain or the matching handmade bracelet which both feature signature Wii and Galaxy items like a wiimote, nunchuck, life mushrooms and star bits. . . and colorful beads of course (just in case the geek goods aren't enough!). Each trinket is made from polymer clay, which means there's still hope of me getting a necklace full of star bits!

For some crazy reason I've been craving a good Super Mario Brothers 3 games session! I haven't played since I had to sell my NES to get my hands on a N64, so instead of just downloading the game onto my Wii's Virtual Console, I've been spending a bit more time than usual on eBay searching for an old system and copy of the game (what can I say, I'm nostalgic) to whisk me back to simpler times. Since me and the plump plumber have had a long-standing relationship, I wanted to see how many of you heart the little Italian man and all the trouble he gets into. Can you name your favorite Mario game of all time? I know it's a tough decision, but cast your vote and tell me why you love it the most in the comments below!

Holy Mario. Though I shudder to think what Tim Gunn would say about this (and what would Christian say? "Hot tranny mess," or "fierce"?), but I have got to give it up to Etsy seller The Vintage Doctor, because this Super Mario Bros. Corset looks labor-intensive. It sold out a couple of weeks ago, which is a shame, because I need something to wear when I play Wii's Mario Kart for the first time (tee hee). How does this outfit make you feel?

Vintage Geek: Super Mario Bros. Movie

If you dig waaay back into your memories of the '90s, you might remember a little flick called Super Mario Bros'. Starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo. Do you remember, or did you block it out of your mind forever? I am a professed Mario super fan, so I don't like hating on anything where the lovable plumbers are involved, but this movie just didn't do it for me (or anyone else for that matter)!

Despite the success of the Mario franchise, the movie was a total flop at the box office, only bringing in $20 million to cover its $48-million budget. A pretty big number for '93. But who would have thought that a movie about two plumbing brothers who get sucked into an alternate universe via an interdimensional portal under the Brooklyn Bridge and end up fighting the evil King Koopa would be a flop? Hey, you can't blame me for its failure, I paid my four bucks to see it!

I have a sickness for anything that smells good and can be put into a bathtub. Preying on that sickness and my love for Nintendo characters (the evil!) are these Super Mario Brothers bath bombs. Bath bombs, which are way more fun than they are complicated, are a total big girl indulgence, but the action figures (including Mario, Luigi, Fire Mario, Bowzer, Goomba, and Power Mushroom) that emerge when your bomb has dissolved are kind of a little girl indulgence. Then again, nobody gots to know about it.So, total bomb, or the bomb?

Geek Tip: Play Paper Mario World Online, For Free!

I don't know what excites me more, the fact that there's a free online game called Paper Mario World (W1), or the fact that the game was created by a 13-year-old! When I saw this game on technabob, I couldn't believe my eyes. The interface is seemingly flawless, resembling that of the original Paper Mario games.

Now I can't say the game is your typical Super Mario Bros., as you need to advance each screen yourself and it's not as quick on newer computers that require higher quality settings (you can adjust when the game loads). But it does include your standard power-up mushrooms and evil Goombas. Use your arrows for walking forwards, backwards, and jumping and hit the space bar for using the hammer. Probably a good time-waster game! Click here to play.

It's hard to believe that Mario has endured so many changes in his power-ups over the years! This interesting power-up evolution chart which was featured on TechEBlog, displays Mario in most of his power-up personas. Some of my faves include the froggy suit and Kuribo's Shoe from Super Mario Bros. 3 as well as the helicopter in Super Mario Bros. for Game Boy. I'm just about to save the princess in the New Super Mario Bros for the Nintendo DS and although it's not on this chart, I'd have to say that the mega mushroom that supersizes Mario is now my all-time fave.

Growing up I always wanted to be one of those kids who had a Lego room. You know, one of those toy rooms covered with colorful tiny Lego pieces that you hope and pray you don't step on?!

Well, I still don't have my huge collection of Legos, but at least I get to explore my inner Lego geekiness with this job! And with that ladies and gents, I bring to you a collection of various geek-inspired Lego creations, which I guarantee will make you feel like a kid again.

Who The, What The: Super Mario On The iPhone?!

I am not going to deny the fact that there are a lot of exciting tools on the iPhone, but I must admit, it's announcements like this that make me thank my lucky stars that I have a shiny and new iPhone. Brace yourselves: word on the net is that there is a new Nintendo Entertainment System emulator application on Google Code that comes with games like Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. The emulator has a few glitches and requires several software hacks to work so use it at your own risk. Forewarning: The games don't have sound and they run really slow. So this bad boy is quite obviously homemade, but it was clearly created by a video-game- loving-geek who also loves music. I can't even begin to consider what type of dwelling this would work well with, but I commend the creator for his or her gumption and enthusiasm for vintage geek design. What do you think?
