I know taking quizzes on websites can be annoying, but they really do help bloggers like myself tailor our content to fix the wants, needs and desires of our readers. I also know most geeks like taking quizzes, so this simple, quick GEEKSUGAR Survey should be a flash and as much fun as unpacking your new video game console. The Concierge system from Springboard Networks might be the upcoming innovation I'm looking forward to the most. It's a cart-mounted computer interface with LCD screen that acts as a guide through your favorite (or foreign) grocery store. You won't have to ask anyone where the black olives are because you can just do a query on your cart.

Airline Will Allow Cellphone Service During Flight!

There has been endless debate over the use of cellphones on airplanes during flight, and while most of us know you can use a cell phone without disrupting the plane, we still aren't allowed to use it - until now. According to the New York Times, Emirates, the Dubai-based airline, installed satellite-based technology that allows voice calls and text messaging on one of its Boeing 777’s late last year and expects to begin offering the service to passengers on an international route yet to be announced early next month.

Apparently, calls will work at altitudes above 9,800 feet to avoid potential interference with land systems. The downside is users will reportedly be billed at $3 to $3.50 a minute for outbound and inbound calls. For more about this, just

Free Opera Internet Browser Connects the World to Wii

Starting today, Nintendo and Opera Software bring the Internet to the living room couch with a free beta version of the Opera Web browser for the Wii.

Wii owners who are connected and have activated the Wii Shop Channel can download a free beta version of the Opera browser to activate the Internet Channel of the Wii Menu and begin surfing the Web.

The final version of the Opera browser will be available at the end of March 2007, and will be free for all Wii owners to download through the end of June 2007.
