After hearing a few months back that
SlingPlayer Mobile was working with RIM to develop a
BlackBerry, I have been anxiously awaiting a release date.
Sling Media has finally confirmed that they will be releasing
SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry later this year. They have also announced that they will be unveiling their software running on a BlackBerry Pearl 8120 during CES next week.

I already knew that the
Slingbox streaming device was beyond amazing, but after I caught my co-workers watching
Oprah three hours before it airs on this side of the U.S, I instantly became hooked.
Now you can not only control your home TV with
Slingmedia from your laptop, but you can do it with your
cell phone as well. According to
Engadget, the makers of SlingPlayer Mobile are working with RIM to develop a
BlackBerry friendly version — so we can watch
The Hills from anywhere at anytime via our phones.

PC users have known the joy that is Slingbox for some time now, but now eager Mac enthusiasts, including
Miss Hilary Duff, can get their Slingbox fix served up to their computers on the daily. Slingbox, is a nifty device that can turn the internet-connected computer or mobile device into your home television. Meaning you can record your favorite shows and watch TV virtually anywhere.
