Comic Book Vending Machine

This Teen Comic-Book Entrepreneur's Story Will Inspire You

A teen in the Philadelphia, PA, area hasn't let anything stop him from living his goal of running his own comic book business. CBS Philly met Chris Romberger, a 19-year-old with Down syndrome and autism, who, while working at the Villanova University campus cafeteria, decided to venture out on a side business. With the help of his job coach, Chris Haas, the two Chrises tracked down a vending machine manufacturer to custom-make machines so that younger Chris could pursue his passion for comic books with some entrepreneurial flair.

The business, Comic Man Comics and Books, is located in a local Play It Again Sports store, and the upkeep of the vending machine inventory is Chris's responsibility between shifts at his campus job. Below, watch the sweet story of how Chris worked his way up from three-hour work shifts to small business owner.
