Jobs Instagram Movie Trailer
Jobs Gets an Instagram Trailer, but You Can't Try It at Home

Less than a month after Instagram introduced 15-second video for users, we're seeing a new type of "first-ever-gram": the movie trailer. And naturally, it's a movie with a tech focus — Jobs, which has Ashton Kutcher in the lead as a young Steve Jobs, building Apple with Steve Wozniak (played by Josh Gad). While the full-length trailer moves through the early days of Apple to Steve's ousting to his triumphant return, the Insta-trailer focuses its precious seconds on Ashton reciting the famous lines of Apple's "Think Different" ad campaign: "Here's to the crazy ones . . . "
Speaking of thinking differently, the trailer does something most other Instagram users can't do: upload previously shot footage. Sure, we can upload a photo from a phone's camera gallery, but uploading a video from a mobile device isn't available to the average 'grammer. Either the magic of cinema is stronger than we thought, or this is a collaboration between the Open Road production company responsible for Jobs and Instagram itself. Does the trailer also double as the "first-ever-video-ad-gram"?
